Overview of the Admin Portal Interface

Once you have accessed the Admin Portal, you will be presented with an interface that bears a resemblance to the screenshot depicted below. Essentially, the page is separated into two sections: the top horizontal menu bar (highlighted with a blue box) and the application interface section positioned beneath it (highlighted with a red box). 

By defaultupon logging into the Admin Portalthe Phone System App will be launched within the application interface section of the main page. This will occur evey time you access the Admin Portal.

Now, let's examine the top horizontal menu bar which is comprised of six elements arranged from left to right.

  • The "Ooma" button: this red button acts as a home button, which means that once you click on it, the Phone System App, the default app for this section, will open up in the application interface section of the Admin Portal. In case you were working with a different app before pressing this button, you will be prompted to either save or discard any changes you made before the current app closes and the Phone System App opens up. 

  • The name of the active App: in this section, you can see the name of the app launched in the application interface section of the Admin Portal
  • The "Apps" button: upon clicking this button, you will be taken to a different page where you can see a list of apps that are available to users as an administrator.

  • The "Account" button: once you click on this button, a dropdown menu will appear showing a tree structure of accounts that are accessible to you based on your access rights.

  • The Seat name: in this section, you can see the name of the Seat you are currently logged in to on the Admin Portal.
  • The "Sign out" button: it is typically used to log out of the current session and terminate access to the Admin Portal. Once you click on it, a pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm or decline the sign-out action.
