Description: The purpose of this article is to provide a detailed overview of the process for linking clients through the Real-Time Clients section of Ooma Enterprise Advanced Analytics.
The solution's real-time clients section enables administrators to effectively manage user-configured real-time client connections. At present, the user portal only supports a single type of client for connectivity, specifically the Wallboard for Amazon Fire TV.
To use the application, it must be linked to a user account. Once linked, the application can seamlessly display wallboards from any workspace accessible to the linked user.
This user guide for linking clients provided below assumes that you meet certain prerequisites:
- An Amazon Fire TV & TV meeting the requirements.
- A pre-configured Wallboard View.
- A user account with permission to access the Workspace which contains the Wallboard View.
Configuring the Application
The Wallboard application can be obtained at no cost by downloading it from the Amazon Store. To locate the application, simply search for "Dimensions Wallboard" within the Amazon Store.
After installing and launching the application, it is necessary to establish a connection with the user portal and link it with a user account.
Upon the very first launch of the application, a page will appear, presenting a link request code for further proceedings.
Then, access Advanced Analytics through your web browser. Within this portal, navigate to the "Settings" section.
Once you are within the "Settings" section of Advanced Analytics, navigate to the "Real-Time Clients" option in the newly introduced left-hand menu of the "Settings" section. Clicking on it will open the corresponding page.
To link a Real-Time Client to your account, press the "Link Client" button.
Once you click this button, you will be directed to the corresponding Ooma Enterprise page. There, you will be prompted to enter the link request code that you acquired during the initial launch of the Wallboard application.
After entering the link request code and clicking the "Submit" button, you will receive a confirmation message verifying the authorization of your device.
After that, the registered client will be displayed in the table of existing real-time clients. From this stage onwards, the linked Wallboard application will gain access to all Wallboards within all the Workspaces that the linked user has access to.
