Description: This section allows you to authorize callers to dial extensions, as well as reconfigure lists of extensions that are either allowed or blocked.
Here you can reconfigure the extension dialing parameters of the Voicemail Box selected in the Table of Existing Voicemail Boxes located in the Voicemail Section of the Phone System App:
- Allow caller to dial extension: when you select this checkbox, callers are given the option to dial extensions as part of the voicemail system's menu.
If the caller knows the extension they wish to reach, they can press a specific number on their phone keypad to transfer to that extension.
- Whitelist of Numbers: in this field, you can enter a list of phone or extension numbers that are allowed to bypass the voicemail system and ring directly to the recipient's phone.
- Blocklist of Numbers: in this field, you can enter a list of phone or extension numbers that are not allowed to ring through to the recipient's phone and are instead sent directly to voicemail or rejected.
You should complete both of these fields using regular expressions. For additional details, please refer to this link.
Once you have changed some parameters, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.
The Phone System App will display a green badge with an exclamation mark next to any field that has been modified.
The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
