The Voicemail Tab. The Extension Dialling Section

Description: This section allows you to authorize callers to dial extensions, as well as set up lists of extensions that are either allowed or blocked.  

There are two main interface elements in this section: 

• The Delete Voicemail Box Panel  
• The list of parameters 

The Delete Voicemail Box Panel

This panel contains an action button:

• Delete Voicemail Box: by clicking on this button, you can delete the configured voicemail box. 

Upon pressing it, a pop-up window will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision to delete the voicemail box. 

The List of Parameters

There are three parameters on this page: 

• Allow caller to dial extension: when you select this checkbox, callers are given the option to dial extensions as part of the voicemail system's menu.

If the caller knows the extension they wish to reach, they can press a specific number on their phone keypad to transfer to that extension. 

• Whitelist of Numbers: in this field, you can enter a list of phone or extension numbers that are allowed to bypass the voicemail system and ring directly to the recipient's phone.

• Blocklist of Numbers: in this field, you can enter a list of phone or extension numbers that are not allowed to ring through to the recipient's phone and are instead sent directly to voicemail or rejected.

Once you have inputted data into the fields, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.  

The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
