The OE Desktop App. Messages Overview

Description: Description: The Ooma Enterprise Desktop App offers users a user-friendly interface for messaging through SMS/MMS communication. 

Upon clicking on the Messages icon located in the Left-Hand Vertical Menu Bar of the Ooma Enterprise Desktop App, the user interface of the Messages Module will be displayed in the Main Space of the app. 

The user interface of the Messages Module resembles that of the numerous messaging apps available today.

Despite the visual resemblances, all conversations take place via phone numbers, meaning that every text message is an SMS and any message containing multimedia attachments is an MMS.

The user interface of the Messages Module comprises three primary elements: 

• The List of Conversations: in this section, you can access a list of ongoing conversations, drafts, a search bar, and the "New Conversation" button, which creates a new conversation upon clicking. The list is organized with the most recent messages and conversations appearing at the top. 
• The Search Bar: this interface element provides search functionality, allowing users to search for a number, name, or keyword. 
• The Chat Window for the selected conversation: this section resembles a typical chat interface, and it also permits you to manage all sent multimedia files and upload new ones.

Any unsent messages will be saved and stored as drafts.

Conversations with unread messages will be marked with a notification badge containing the number of unread messages.
