Description: You can choose one of a few service carrier options available for an account.

Location of the Accounts App

After logging in to the Admin Panel, click on the "Apps" icon located in the Top Horizontal Menu Bar.

Upon clicking the "Apps" icon, you will be directed to a new page containing a list of apps integrated into the Admin Panel. To access the Accounts App, locate its name in the list and click on it.

Next, click on the pencil icon located in the rightmost column of the row for the newly created account in the Table of Existing Accounts

This will open a new window where you should open the Carrier Options Tab that is discussed in this article.

In the telecommunications industry, a 'carrier' is a service provider that facilitates public access to the public switched telephone network or mobile networks. In a broader context, a 'carrier' is a wireless service provider that offers connectivity services to its customers.

Within this section, you have a choice of three service carriers, which you can select by clicking on the corresponding radio button.

  • Use System-wide Carriers: this will route the calls to the global carriers set up on the master account.
  • Use your Provider’s Carriers: this will route the calls to Ooma's carriers.
  • Use Carriers defined on this Account: this will route the calls to the carriers set up for this account via the Carriers app.

By default, the Use System-wide Carriers option is selected for any newly created account.

Once you have selected one of the given options, do not forget to click on the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.

The Accounts App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.

The Accounts App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
