Modified on Thu, Apr 4 at 7:28 PM

Description: The purpose of this article is to provide a detailed overview of the Handsets configuration tab, which is accessible for all devices eligible for provisioning within the Advance Provisioner App.

The Advance Provisioner App serves as the primary digital workspace for configuring advanced settings on provisioned devices. For every device from any manufacturer, there is a roster of configuration tabs, each containing different parameters. Once you have added a new device, you will have the opportunity to customize a distinct set of configuration tabs tailored to that specific device.

In all the tabs, parameters can be classified into two types:

  • those that require manual input of values.
  • those that provide a dropdown list of options.

Certain fields may initially contain pre-filled values inherited from server and account settings. These inherited values may vary depending on the specific server and account configurations.

Within this article, we will examine the Handsets configuration tab and its parameters available for customization.

Handsets Configuration Tab

When adding a new device or configuring an existing one, the Lines configuration tab will be the initial

default view.

To navigate to the Handsets configuration tab, click on its name in the configuration tab roster.

When you open the selected tab, you will encounter the table of headset presets. For each headset presets listed, you can configure its parameters.

The number of headset presets may differ depending on the device. By pressing the pencil badge on a particular record in this table, you can configure the parameters of the selected headset preset.

The parameters within the following sections are set up individually for each Handset Preset. Currently, there is no possibility to copy the settings of one Handset Preset to another.

The parameters listed on this tab can be categorized into two distinct subtabs:

  • Dial Out (V83+ firmware with DD10K Dongle): in this section, you can assign lines to the configured Handset peset.

There are two parameters that need to be configured here:

  • Default Line: here, you can set the default line to dial for this Handset preset
In the Advanced Provisioner App, the terms "account" and "line" are synonymous in the given context.

When you click on this field, a dropdown menu will be displayed, presenting a list of available options.

  • Inherit: by choosing this option, you allow this Handset preset to use the default line set in the Defaults
  • Account #: by choosing any of the given options, you can assign any line to the configured Handset preset as the default one.
  • Auto: by selecting this option, you grant the configured Handset preset the ability to assign a default line automatically.
  • Lines: within this field, you can list lines, that will be enabled to make outgoing calls using this Handset preset.

  • Incoming (V83+ firmware with DD10K Dongle): in this section, you can configure the Handset preset’s parameters regarding to incoming calls.

There is only one parameter that needs to be configured here:

  • Default: within this field, you can list lines, that will be enabled to receive incoming calls using this Handset preset.

Make sure to press the "Save" button to apply all the changes you have made to the parameters.
