Modified on Fri, Jun 16, 2023 at 1:37 PM

Description: The main purpose of this section is to reconfigure the basic parameters of the device that is currently set up.

Here you can reconfigure the basic parameters of the device selected in the Table of Existing Devices located in the Devices Section of the Phone System App:

  • Device Nickname: this is where you can assign a nickname to the device.

While you have the freedom to choose any name, it's important to consider your company's policies since there may be multiple users utilizing this device.

  • Device Type: when the device was initially created and its type was selected, this field was automatically filled.

This option is predetermined by the system and cannot be modified.

  • Device MAC address: if necessary, you can specify a custom MAC address for the device in this field.

  • Device Make/Model: clicking on this field will display a drop-down menu containing a list of brands of telecom equipment manufacturers. If this parameter was not configured during the initial setup of the Seat to which the selected device is assigned. You can select the brand of the device, if it is a physical one (not virtual), from this list.

After selecting the brand from the list, another field will appear. This field will have a drop-down menu that shows all available equipment models associated with the selected brand.

  • Device Enabled: by enabling this toggle switch, you allow the device to connect to the system.

If the selected device is enabled, you have access to two additional checkboxes.

  • Inbound Calling Enabled: if this option is enabled, the system allows you to make inbound calls to the device.
  • Notify When Unregistered: if this option is enabled, the device will be configured so that the administrator receives notifications each time it unregisters.

Once you have changed some parameters, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.

The Phone System App will display a green badge with an exclamation mark next to any field that has been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
