The Devices Tab. The Option Section

Modified on Tue, May 30, 2023 at 11:11 AM

Description: This section allows you to configure the ringtone and other settings for the devices associated with the newly created Seat.

There are two main interface elements in this section

  • The Editing New Device Panel
  • The list of parameters

The Editing New Device Panel

This panel contains two action buttons:

  • Reboot Device: by clicking on this button, you can reboot the configured device remotely. Upon pressing it, a pop-up window will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision to reboot the device.

  • Delete Device: by clicking on this button, you can delete the device that is currently set up. Upon pressing it, a pop-up window will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision to delete the device.

The List of Parameters

There are six parameters that can be set in this section:

  • Internal and External Ringtones: these fields are used to set ringtones for internal and external calls by entering the name of any ringtone stored in the device's memory. Usually, stationary phones are preloaded with a range of ringtone choices.

  • T.38: If you select this checkbox, you grant permission for the device to use T.38, which is a protocol outlining the process of transmitting faxes through a computer data network.

  • Hide From Contact List: this parameter is a setting in phone systems that allows the configured device to hide its contact information from being displayed in the system's contact list.

  • Ignore Complete Elsewhere: when this parameter is enabled for a device that is part of a ring group, and another device in the same group answers an incoming call, the first device will not register the call as a missed call.

  • Exclude From Queues: by enabling this parameter, you allow the device not to be included in any call queues that have been set up in the phone system.

Once you have inputted data into the fields, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.

The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
