Description: The main purpose of this section is to set of basic parameters of the device that is currently set up.
There are two main interface elements in this section:
- The Editing New Device Panel
- The list of parameters
The Editing New Device Panel
This panel contains two action buttons:
- Reboot Device: by clicking on this button, you can reboot the configured device remotely. Upon pressing it, a pop-up window will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision to reboot the device.
- Delete Device: by clicking on this button, you can delete the device that is currently set up. Upon pressing it, a pop-up window will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision to delete the device.
The List of Parameters
Here you can set the basic parameters of the device linked to the configured Seat.
- Device Nickname: this is where you can assign a nickname to the device.
While you have the freedom to choose any name, it's important to consider your company's policies since there may be multiple users utilizing this device.
- Device Type: when the device was initially created and its type was selected, this field was automatically filled.
Unfortunately, this option cannot be modified or reversed. To make changes, you will need to delete the existing device and create a new one.
- Device MAC address: if necessary, you can specify a custom MAC address for the device in this field.
- Device Make/Model: clicking on this field will display a drop-down menu containing a list of brands of telecom equipment manufacturers. You can select the brand of the device, if it is a physical one (not virtual), from this list.
After selecting the brand from the list, another field will appear. This field will have a drop-down menu that shows all available equipment models associated with the selected brand. - Device Enabled: by enabling this toggle switch, you allow the device to connect to the system. After enabling the device, two additional checkboxes will appear.
- Inbound Calling Enabled: enabling this option will allow inbound calls to the device.
- Notify When Unregistered: if you select this option, the device will be configured so that the administrator receives notifications each time it unregisters.
Once you have inputted data into the fields, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.
The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.
The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
