The Seat Tab. The Call Routing Section

Description: Here you can set up different call routing and redirection parameters for the created Seat.


The parameters in this section are categorized into two groups: 

  • Do Not Disturb 
  • Call Forward 


Do Not Disturb

If you select this checkbox, you can activate a feature that blocks incoming calls, enabling the Seat’s user to work without interruption from phone calls or other distractions. 


Call Forward

Let’s examine the parameters listed here.   

  • Enable Call Forward: by selecting this checkbox, you can use the configured Seat and its associated phone number (purchased and/or assigned on the Basics Tab) in the call routing process. 
  • Failover: if you select this checkbox, incoming calls can be redirected to an alternate destination when the phone number associated with the configured Seat is unavailable or unable to receive the call. 
Please note that if the "Enable Call Forward" parameter is not enabled, there will be no redirection of calls. 
  • Redirect Calls To: the purpose of this field is to specify the auxiliary phone number to which incoming calls initially directed to the Seat's main number will be redirected. 
  • Bypass User’s Phone: if you activate this feature, all incoming calls will be forwarded to an auxiliary number, bypassing the user's phone. 
  • Keep Original Caller ID: by selecting this checkbox, the system will display the Caller ID associated with the configuring Seat to callers even after redirection, instead of displaying the Caller ID associated with the auxiliary number. 
  • Require Key Press: if you activate this feature, all incoming calls will only be redirected after you confirm the action by making a key press 
  • Direct Calls Only: by enabling this feature, the system will only redirect direct calls. If the phone number associated with the configured Seat is part of a chain of phone numbers used for call routing, the call will not be redirected.


Once you have inputted data into the fields, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.  

The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
