The Seat Tab. The Advanced Section

Modified on Tue, 30 May 2023 at 11:02 AM

Description: Here you have the option to configure the newly created Seat’s visibility, email notifications, and music on hold.

The parameters in this section are categorized into three groups:

  • Contact Visibility
  • Email Notifications
  • Music on Hold

Contact Visibility

This parameter is a setting in phone systems that allows a particular seat or extension to hide their contact information from being displayed in the system's contact list.

Check the policies set by the phone system administrator or company management before enabling this feature. In some cases, hiding contact information may not be allowed or may only be permitted for certain employees or under certain circumstances.

Email Notifications

If you select these checkboxes, you will activate the feature of receiving email notifications whenever you receive a voicemail and/or fax.

Music on Hold

This parameter is a feature in phone systems that allows callers to hear music or other audio while they are waiting on hold. When a caller is placed on hold, instead of being left in silence, the phone system plays pre-recorded music or audio to make the wait more pleasant or interesting.

When you click on this field, a dropdown list will appear containing all the available options that you can select to be set as the music on hold for calls.

Once you have inputted data into the fields, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.

The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
