Description: Within this guide, you will discover details regarding the advanced configurations for auto attendants in Microsoft Teams. This article will present an extensive overview of the Authorized Users subtab.

Auto attendants allow individuals to contact your organization and use a menu system to connect with the appropriate department, call queue, individual, or operator. You have the option to create these auto attendants for your organization using either the Microsoft Teams admin center or Ooma Enterprise Admin portal.

To set up an auto attendant, go to Microsoft Teams admin center. Locate and select the "Voice" option in the left-hand menu of the page to expand it.

Once the content is displayed, choose the "Auto attendant" option.

After that, you will be taken to the "Auto attendants" page, which displays the table of existing auto attendants

When you are in the process of either creating a new auto attendant by pressing the "+Add" button or modifying an existing one by pressing the "Edit" button, you will come across an additional tab called "Advanced settings." Within this tab, there are five subtabs, which will be explained in detail below.

This article will present an extensive overview of the Authorized Users subtab.

Authorized Users Subtab

With this section, you can set a list of users who are assigned a voice application policy and are able to make changes to the configured auto attendant

An authorized user is a Teams user who has been authorized by a Teams admin center administrator to make configuration changes to auto attendants and call queues. The user doesn't need to have access to the Teams admin center portal nor be assigned any administrative roles.
Adding an authorized user is discretionary and not mandatory for callflow creation. This step is needed only if the customer intends to add a non-admin user for managing a particular auto attendant.

Upon your first visit to this page, you will come across the table of assigned users, which should be empty of any entries.

To add a user, simply press the "Add" button. When you click on this button, a pop-up dialog menu will appear on the right side of the window. In this section, you will be guided to use the search bar to find the username of the user you wish to assign to the configured auto attendant.

Once you input a minimum of 3 characters, the search engine will provide you with a list of potential choices. If you locate the individual you are seeking within the list, simply hover your mouse cursor over their name to reveal the "Add" button, then click it.

After that, the chosen user will become visible within the table of assigned users.
