The Conferences Section. The Basics Tab

Modified on Fri, Jun 16, 2023 at 1:39 PM

Description: Here you have the option to reconfigure the basic parameters of the Conference meetings that are currently set up.

Here you can reconfigure the basic parameters of the Conference meeting selected in the Table of Existing Conferences located in the Conferences Section of the Phone System App:

  • Name: in this field, you can reassign a personalized Name to the configured Conference.

  • PINs: you can set another PIN number for the configured Conference meeting. You can also input more than one personalized PIN number into this field, which will be used to access the configured Conference.

To enter multiple PINs, simply separate them with commas.

Using multiple PINs for a conference call can help to control access based on different levels of authorization, such as providing different PINs for those who are allowed to speak versus those who are only allowed to listen.

It can also enable breakout sessions or subgroups within the same conference by assigning a unique PIN to each subgroup, allowing participants to move between subgroups as needed without disrupting the main conference.

Once you have changed some parameters, do not forget to click the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.

The Phone System App will display a green badge with an exclamation mark next to any field that has been modified.

The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.

Once you have saved all the changes in the fields, any PINs entered will be obscured by asterisks (*) in the Table of Existing Conferences.

However, you can reveal the PINs by clicking on an eye icon.
