Description: The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the SSO that is used to log in to the Ooma Enterprise Desktop App.

When the user launches the Ooma Enterprise Desktop App for the first time, they will be presented with this interface.

The bottom section of this window is the SSO login form.

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication mechanism that enables users to log in to multiple systems or applications using a single set of login credentials. With SSO, once a user has successfully logged in to one application or system, they are automatically authenticated to other applications or systems within the same SSO environment. This simplifies the login process for users, eliminates the need for multiple sets of credentials, and enhances security. SSO is widely employed in enterprise environments to provide secure and streamlined access to a variety of mission-critical applications and services.

Once the user clicks the "Log in with email" button for the very first time, they will be directed to the default Internet browser on their device. There, the user will be prompted to enter their email to initiate the SSO login procedure.

The Ooma Enterprise system is compatible with Google's SSO feature, which means that users will be directed to the Google sign-in page where they will need to enter their relevant email again.

After that, the user will be prompted to enter their password.

Once the user has entered their password and clicked the "Next" button, the standard 2-Step Verification process will be initiated.

The exact steps of the verification process may vary depending on the verification system, the user's device, and the chosen method of verification.

Once the verification steps are completed, the "Launch Application" button will appear.

When the user clicks on this button, their Internet browser will request permission to open the given link.

Once permission is granted, the Ooma Enterprise Desktop App will be launched.

From that point on, the App is completely loaded and ready to be used.

Once the initial SSO is completed, the system stores the "token" to simplify all future logins.
