Description: Here, you can select the platforms on which to search for the caller's information.
When the "Caller Info Match" function is enabled, the Desktop App will automatically search for the caller's information by opening a configured webpage. This search is based on the caller's name or number, and you can choose which Platforms to search on.
To activate the "Caller Info Match" function, simply toggle the switch to the "on" position.
Once the toggle switch is activated, you will see the "Add New Platform" button appear underneath it.
When you click on the "Add New Platform" button, a pop-up window will appear, displaying several fields where you can specify the caller information search parameters.
While you can enter this information manually, the first field provides a drop-down list of various Platforms.
When you select a Platform from this list, the following fields will be automatically filled out.
The "Search for Caller info in" field is a required field. If you wish to manually enter custom information search parameters, you should select "custom" from the drop-down list and manually fill out the remaining empty fields.
The remaining fields are:
- Rule Name: in this field, you can manually set the name for the custom search you wish to configure.
- Open URL: the field requires you to enter a link that will open in a new window when a call is established. This link will be used to search for the caller's name or number on the resource it provides.
- Test URL: this URL will be available to end users to test integration.
These fields are also mandatory and must be filled out.
Once you have inputted data in the fields, do not forget to click on the "SAVE" button.
Upon completion of the configuration, you will be able to view the Table of Current Caller Info Match Rules on the Caller Info Match Subtab.
If you wish to add more Platforms for searching a caller's information, simply click on the "Add new Platform" button again and configure a new Caller Info Match Rule. This will create a new line in the Table of Current Caller Info Match Rules.
To delete an existing Caller Info Match Rule, locate the appropriate field and click on the pencil icon in the "Action" column.
This will open a pop-up menu containing the Caller Info Match parameters.
From here, select the "Delete" button and confirm your action when prompted by the system.
Once you have inputted all Caller Info Match Rules, do not forget to click on the "SAVE" button to apply the changes.
The Phone System App will display an icon of an exclamation mark within a green circle next to any fields that have been modified.
The Phone System App will notify you that leaving the page will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.
