Description: Here is a brief guide on creating a Microsoft Azure Account by linking your current Microsoft Account or setting up a new one with the following connection.
To begin the process of creating a Microsoft Azure account, click on either the "Get started" or "Try Azure for free" buttons when you access the Microsoft Azure website. In this guide, we will explain the steps for the free registration option.
The registration process is nearly the same, but selecting the "Get started" option will provide you with various paid choices.
Next, you will encounter a window where you need to select the "Start free" button. Opting for the "Pay as you go" button will redirect you to the aforementioned page where you will be presented with different paid options.
Next, this window will appear.
If you already possess a Microsoft Azure account, simply enter your login details to gain access to the system. You can also connect your GitHub profile with Microsoft Azure. However, if you are a fresh user, you can create an account by selecting the "Create one!" option.
At this stage, you will be prompted to input your Microsoft account credentials. If you do not have an account, you can choose the "Create one!" option to proceed with creating a new account.
Initially, you will be asked to provide your email address.
Next, you should generate a password for your newly created Microsoft Account.
Afterward, you will need to configure certain account settings, such as the operational region and your birth date.
Finally, you should verify your email address by entering the verification code sent to you via email during this registration stage.
Once the registration of your Microsoft account is complete, you will be automatically redirected to the Microsoft Azure website, where you can proceed to configure your Microsoft Azure profile.
After providing your phone number, you will need to select one of two verification options: "Text me" or "Call me".
Once you receive a verification code and enter it in the designated field, you will be prompted to configure the next section of your profile, which includes specifying your company's address.
Next, as the final step in the verification process, you will be asked to provide your debit or credit card details. This step is required, even if you initially chose to create a free Microsoft Azure account.
Please note that you need not be concerned about unexpected charges, except for a $1 transaction that will be made for verification purposes, which will be promptly refunded.
At this stage, the registration process is nearly complete. You will be requested to provide your feedback regarding the registration process.
Lastly, you will be presented with a welcoming page that includes a "Go to the Azure Portal" button. By clicking this button, you can gain access to the system.
Afterward, you will be redirected to the Azure Quickstart Center.
To access the menu of the Azure portal, click on the button with three lines located at the top-left corner of the window.
From there, select the "Home" option to be redirected to the Home Page of the Azure portal.
Please note that a free Microsoft Azure AD subscription does not support the functionality of SSO access. If you wish to configure Microsoft Azure as an IdP to enable SSO access, you will need to upgrade your subscription.
To initiate the upgrade process, click the "Upgrade" button located in the top-left corner of the Azure portal and follow the provided instructions.
